Incident Details:

An 80 year old lady was spotted waist deep in Derwentwater at the back of the Derwentwater Hotel in Portinscale walking towards the river. Cumbria Fire and Rescue were mobilised and an ambulance attended while a vehicle of Swift Water Rescue Technicians from Keswick team set off. One member who lives close to the incident site went direct and found the lady, and as she was not in dangerous water at that point managed to reach her and walk her out.
