Incident Details:

A 55 year old man injured his back after slipping on the steep rocky path next to Lining Crag. A Coastguard helicopter was on exercise in Wasdale at the time but was re-deployed, firstly to pick up two Keswick MR members from Stonethwaite to assist with the extraction of the casualty, and then on to the Cumberland Infirmary Hospital at Carlisle.
