Nitting Haws (72)

A 62 year old man was descending High Spy via Nitting Haws but fell 5m onto rocks resulting in suspected broken ribs, and a painful knee. The team paramedic provided pain relief but due to the severity of the injury a coastguard helicopter was requested. The casualty was winched to the helicopter and taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Newcastle

This is the third incident on Nitting Haws in less than 2 weeks!
