A woman was descending the north ridge of Catbells when she slipped and injured her ankle. Unable to walk her son phoned for assistance. After quickly getting to the casualty the team provided pain relief and splinted the woman’s ankle. She was then stretchered down to the road and her family transported her to hospital for x-rays and further treatment.
