A couple were walking on Ellerbeck Common west of Caldbeck when the 65 year old woman’s dog unbalanced her and she tripped and fell resulting in a broken femur. The North West Ambulance Service attended and treated the woman on scene but required assistance to extricate her. Keswick sent a small team with other members going direct to assist with the relatively short carry to the ambulance for onward transport to Carlisle Infirmary.
