A 21 year old female slipped and suffered an injury to her ankle whilst descending towards Swirls Car park from the top of Helvellyn. Being unable to weight bear the group called 999 and asked for Mountain Rescue assistance. The team attended and gave pain relief before stretchering the casualty down to the car park from where she was taken to hospital in the family car.
