Beckstones Gill, Barf (79)

A family were descending the Beckstones Gill path next to Barf when one of the group fell and injured her ankle. She attempted to continue down but the pain was too much so assistance was requested. The call for help came through as Keswick team were on their way back from the previous call-out, and being nearby they got to the casualty relatively quickly. After an assessment of the ankle and splinting, the woman was stretchered down to the family’s vehicle with a recommendation that they visit hospital for an x-ray.
