A couple were walking north from Swirls car park along the intake wall near Fisherplace Gill when the woman slipped off the path and took a tumbling fall sustaining injuries to her ankle and wrist. Unable to weight-bear they called for assistance. The team were able to drive quite close to the scene leaving just a 10 minute walk to the casualty who was assessed, given some pain relief and her ankle splinted before being stretchered down to an awaiting ambulance.
