A 44 year old female tripped and hurt her ankle whilst descending the (rapidly becoming notorious) path from Raven Crag, Thirlmere. As she couldn’t weight bear on her painful foot they called 999 and asked for Mountain Rescue. The team were able to drive close to the casualty, examine her ankle, give some pain relief and then stretcher her down to the Landrover. The casualty was then transported to her own vehicle to made their own way home.
