A 71 year old male started feeling dizzy and unwell shortly after setting off on a walk from Swirls car park up into High Park Wood. His walking companion led him to a nearby bench where he lost consciousness for a few minutes. An ambulance was called and Mountain Rescue attended. The casualty was given a quick assessment at the scene by a team medic before being wrapped up for the short stretcher carry to an awaiting ambulance. Many thanks to the Langdale Ambleside MR team member who was on scene by chance.
