A group of five adventurers had a late night/very early morning excursion over the fells near High Pike, Caldbeck. At some point during their character-building descent, one of the party was possibly injured and maybe had an asthma/panic attack (the details of which vague at best) and they dialled 999 requesting an ambulance. North West Ambulance Service then tasked the team because of the group’s location on the fellside. Two team members who travelled direct to the incident found the party walking along the road and after speaking to control decided no further NWAS or team involvement was required. A lift to Keswick Booths bus stop was provided for onward transport home (along with some ‘words of advice’) and the relevant authorities informed.
