Two walkers on steep ground became stuck and were unable to move. A Phone Find gave a location in How Gill below Skiddaw Little Man. Despite the best efforts of the Team Leader to talk them out of their predicament, a small team was despatched to assist. The team set off from the bottom of the gill with ropes, harnesses, turf anchors, etc expecting an awkward ascent but fortunately for all the two walkers were met less than 10 minutes from the truck – they had been rather scared but had managed to extricate themselves.
