A walker and her two dogs were descending from the summit of Eagle Crag when one of the dogs, a collie, somehow managed to get stuck on a ledge. The owner tried in vain to get to the dog but considered it too risky and so called for assistance. Once at the scene two team members scrambled up to the dog, whilst others made their way to the top of the crag and set up a rope system. The dog was secured, lowered to the base of the crag in an animal rescue sack and happily reunited with its owner.
