After a long day out, a 78 year old man descending Helvellyn said his legs had given up and he could not continue. Fortunately a passer-by, who was an ex-Penrith MRT member, provided warm clothing whilst Keswick team made their way up the hill. On arrival the man was assessed and then stretchered down the hill to a family member in the car park at Swirls.
