We received a page from Kendal MRT who had mistakenly been alerted to incident that was originally thought to be in their area. Upon realising they quickly transferred the callout to Keswick MRT and we initiated a response. With some investigation we realised that we were heading to a lady that had gone over on her ankle whilst descending one of our current incident hotspots, Eagle Crag, Stonethwaite.

The team deployed and assessed the casualty’s injury. As the casualty was in very steep and broken ground it was decided that helicopter assistance would be requested. HM Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 936 attended and transferred the casualty to the valley bottom where further team members and vehicles were waiting.
