A 27 year old male walking with friends in the Brandlehow area of Derwentwater lakeshore had an unfortunate abrupt and sharp encounter with a tree branch. The branch fared better than the man who sustained a painful gash to his head and rendered him unsteady on his feet and unable to continue walking. Many thanks to the paramedic First Responder who arrived before the team, had done an assessment and bandaged the man’s head. All that was left to do was to transport the man back to the Hawes End Outdoor Centre to an awaiting ambulance for further assessment.
