Cockermouth MRT requested assistance in the search for a man who was reported missing on the Coast to Coast walk between Ennerdale Bridge and Borrowdale. Keswick team were tasked with covering the main paths up to Styhead pass, and Gillacombe/Green Gable.

In the early hours the man was sadly found deceased by Cockermouth on Moses Trod below Brandreth. Two Keswick team members helped Cockermouth stretcher carry the man to their vehicles above Honister.

Our thoughts and condolences go to the man’s family and friends.
