A 38 year old man slipped on the descent of Catbells causing a painful ankle fracture. Help was requested by some passing walkers, one of whom was a nurse, who provided initial pain relief. Once on scene Keswick team provided some stronger analgesia and reduced (re-aligned) the ankle, before applying a splint and stretchering the man to the road. From here his fellow walkers took him to hospital for further treatment.
