A male competitor in an ultra event suffered a bad ankle injury whilst descending from Sticks Pass. One team member was already on scene as an event medic which meant that all that remained for the team to do was to stretcher the casualty down off the fell. The man’s companion was waiting at the bottom to provide onward transport to hospital.
