The team were alerted by the Police in the early hours to six cold and wet casualties who were unprepared for the overnight conditions and whose tents had succumbed to the high winds and heavy rainfall. Team members made their way from Stonethwaite School up past Tarn at Leaves to the phone find location overlooking the Langstrath Valley where they found the group sheltering in the only tent of their three left standing. Warm clothes and hot drinks were supplied whilst all their soaking equipment was packed up for the descent. When one of them asked ‘do you have the camera?’ we enquired if they were making a film. As it turns out the six young men are film students on assignment making a documentary about wild camping in the mountains! They might need to re-write the film script!
