Keswick team were asked to respond to a man suffering a medical issue and a grid reference was provided indicating Raise Beck above Dunmail Raise. As the team deployed direct contact with the informant to gather further information proved difficult. Helimed H08 was first on scene, however whilst circling above it did not see any signs of the casualty. News then came through that a passing off-duty medical professional had contacted the emergency services to confirm that a man, with the same medical condition, was found near Swirral Edge below Helvellyn summit. H08 together with Coastguard helicopter R199 made their way to the new location to continue the rescue. In parallel Patterdale MRT were alerted as Swirral Edge is within their patch. Keswick team continued to search the immediate area of the original location to confirm there was not a parallel incident.
