A lady in her 70s set off for a late afternoon walk from Keswick towards Threlkeld via the old road through Brundholme Woods. Aiming to return via the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail, she took a wrong turn and ended up on a steep trail in the woods. With darkness falling and the ground becoming difficult to navigate, she made the correct decision to stay put and requested assistance.

A small hill party was dispatched and located the lady in Brundholme Woods. Team members helped her navigate the steep terrain back down to easier ground and escorted her the rest of the way to Keswick.
