A lone walker descending from Skiddaw contacted the team after suffering from severe cramp and the effects of the cold. The walker reported that the conditions were causing him to slip repeatedly, making further progress difficult. He was advised to keep moving slowly downhill while a small team was dispatched to intercept him.

Team members quickly located the walker on the fellside and provided physical support to help him navigate the remainder of the descent. Once off the mountain, he was moved into a team vehicle to rewarm and recover. After a medical check, he was driven into Keswick and dropped off safely.
