Callout Time: 11:06 am
Agencies Involved: Keswick MRT

A group were descending Hall’s Fell ridge on Blencathra when one of the party slipped and tore his thigh muscle. Unable to continue walking, his friends dialled 999 and asked for Mountain Rescue help. The Team arrived on scene and, after assessing his injury, stretchered the man down the rest of the way down. Due to the steepness of the route a back-up rope was used to secure the stretcher during the descent. Once at the roadside, his friends were able to drive him onto the minor injuries hospital in Keswick for further treatment.
