Armboth, Thirlmere (87)

Two men became lost in rough ground above the Armboth car park next to Thirlmere. As they were uninjured, had no medical problems, and the weather was warm and clear, they were given some time to attempt a self rescue whilst being monitored via Phonefind. As they had not moved for some time it was decided to send out a small team to aide their return. As the team approached their last known location word was received that they had in fact moved and were retracing their steps back to Raven Crag. They were met at the forest entrance below Raven Crag and given a lift back to their car.
