An 80 year old man was reported missing by his wife after he was long overdue and he was not responding to phone calls. The wife was monitoring his movements via a phone tracker and that showed he had been stationary for some time on Barrow. As concern was rising and daylight fading she made a call for assistance. A small team were deployed to check his last known location but as things were getting underway he was reported found, safe and well, by his wife after he made it down with a passing walker as company.

It turned out the man had slipped on the descent and in doing so lost his phone. The following day we were glad to hear that he went back and managed to find the phone.

The call-out provided an opportunity to test a thermal imaging camera borrowed from a friend of the team, hence this unusual cover photo.
