A woman slipped and fell whilst descending Barrow resulting in a painful ankle injury. After a sweaty slog up to near the summit team medics assessed and splinted the woman’s ankle after a good dose of analgesia. She was then stretchered and sledged down to the road head before the stampede of Keswick Show fell race runners arrived. Her husband transported her to hospital for further checks.
