A couple of walkers were enjoying the glorious sunshine above the inversion on Green Gable –  perhaps longer than they should have. Deciding they had better get a move on as daylight was fading they unfortunately took a wrong turn, and rather than taking the easier path down to Gillercombe, they ended up on steep terrain on the nose of Base Brown, in darkness and without torches. Concerned about ending up in a really tricky situation if they continued, they sensibly made a call for assistance. A small Keswick team attended and where necessary back roped the very apologetic couple to safer ground.
