A walker descending was from Sca Fell Pike when his boots fell apart. He was now walking in bare feet and getting cold. The team had a brief wind-interrupted phone call with the casualty and managed to establish that the party was still moving. A Phone Find located the group what is termed the ‘1000ft boulder’. A small team set off with spare boots and found the party well below Stockley Bridge. They were walked back to their vehicle at Seathwaite Farm.
