Agencies Involved: Keswick MRT
A passer by alerted the team to a boulderer who had taken an awkward fall from the Bowderstone whilst climbing, he had landed badly and painfully injured his knee. With all the main rescue vehicles and team members either involved in the Steel Fell rescue or doing 4 x 4 training a small team was cobbled together who made their way to the Bowderstone in the boat bus and their own vehicles. The man was assessed and given pain relief before splinting his leg for a stretcher carry to the car park where his friend was able to put him in the back of his car for a trip to hospital.
