Keswick MRT received a message via NWAS regarding an elderly female in a party of three who was unable to continue walking due to fatigue, the cold and strong winds.

Our control room were unable to contact the casualty party directly but via the police, we were able to ask for a What3Words location. The team deployed and the party were checked by team members and provided extra warm clothing and heated blankets. Once rewarmed the group; who had travelled all the way from New Zealand to walk the Coast to Coast, were walked down to Honister where they were met by a taxi to take them to their accommodation.
