Descending Carrock Fell after an evening walk out with two friends a man sustained a painful knee injury. Having made an attempt to support their friend down the hill the group realised they weren’t making any progress and requested Mountain Rescue assistance. On arrival the man’s knee was assessed by team medics who provided pain relief and splinting to the leg. The casualty was then stretchered off the hill for onward transport to have the injury assessed at hospital.
