The hot weather proved too much for a walker who was descending Catbells with her husband. Heat and dehydration caused her to collapse and briefly lose consciousness. Passing walkers made the call for help and provided the casualty water. Although the woman regained consciousness she was still feeling unwell. On arrival Keswick team assessed her condition and gave some relief for her nausea. She was then stretchered down to an ambulance and off to hospital for further checks.
