A 21 year old male became separated from the rest of his group whilst descending Scafell Pike. In intermittent calls to the police he reported that he had fallen in a river and had banged his head and was cold. He was unclear on his whereabouts and turned his phone off and on to preserve battery power. This hindered Phonefind revealing his exact position. Wasdale team requested Keswick support in a search for the missing person.

Three Keswick search teams were tasked to cover Grains Gill, Styhead Gill, and Taylor Gill Force. Whilst driving down Borrowdale valley the teams were stood down as the missing person was located near Brakenclose in Wasdale valley.
