The team leader received a report of a possible paraglider landing in the Borrowdale end of Derwentwater. The team boat was quickly deployed from the Keswick Landings and went to investigate. On searching the area of interest the boat came across an unusual object which after a cautious prod turned out to be a Chinese lantern. Despite the number of people on and around the lake, no other reports of the missing paraglider were received so the boat returned to the landings.
