In poor visibility and icy conditions, two walkers became crag fast after going off piste near the rocky section on the Hall’s Fell ridge. They were guided over the phone back to the path but they did not feel confident about continuing up into misty and unfamiliar terrain, or going down over slippery rocks. A small Keswick team went to assist, and as it was easier to go up than go down, guided them to the summit of Blencathra for a return trip down Doddick Fell.
