Whilst descending Helvellyn towards Swirls, a man slipped and tumbled off the path. He injured his knee, hand and hit his head in the process. Keswick MRT made the steep slog up the hill to the casualty and his group. The casualty was assessed and pain relief given. He was packaged onto a stretcher, just in time for a torrential downpour, and taken down the hill to an awaiting ambulance.
