A couple walking the Cumbrian Way at the back of Skiddaw requested Mountain Rescue assistance when one of them slipped and suffered a calf injury that prevented them from continuing. The Team were able to drive close to their location before continuing on foot. On arrival the casualty was assessed and given pain relief before being stretchered to the Team vehicle. The casualty was then able to continue in their own vehicle to Penrith medical centre for further treatment of a suspected ligament injury.
