A couple of walkers had activated their Google Pixel mobile SOS on Stake Pass at the head of the Langstrath valley. The initial message was that they were lost. As the weather and visibility was good the intention was to encourage them continue on the path down Langstrath where they would end up at Stonethwaite, and back in mobile reception. However multiple attempts were made to contact the Google Pixel SOS centre to relay messages without success. Eventually a decision was made to send a couple of e-bikes up Langstrath to investigate their whereabouts. They were located uninjured on Stake Pass and subsequently walked off to Stonethwaite.
