North West Ambulance Service were notified, via an Apple watch SOS, of a walker with chest pain. Wasdale MRT were initially notified, before it became apparent the casualty’s location was in Keswick’s patch. Multiple attempts were made to contact the Apple SOS centre to relay messages and gather additional details, without success. A team deployed to the given grid reference, below Lining Crag, and were joined by Coastguard Helicopter R897. When the team arrived at the location, there was no sign of a casualty. R897 conducted an aerial search whilst Keswick MRT searched on foot, with the aid of a search dog. With the area searched and nothing found, and no further information available, the team were stood down.
