The ambulance service requested support in getting a patient from a snow blocked remote farm to hospital. With further information we learnt that our MR vehicle would probably struggle with the conditions so preparation was made for a stretcher carry from the farm. After the team deployed we heard that a local farmer had used his tractor to the extricate the patient to the husband’s car parked on a more accessible road. The team stood down and the husband took his wife to hospital.
