Callout Time: 9:45 am
Agencies Involved: Keswick MRT
After a night out camped on the summit of Blencathra three friends were descending back to their car when one tripped and tumbled off the path traversing above the steep ground directly above Mousethwaite Comb. The casualty sustained a probable broken wrist and bashed his head meaning he felt unable to descend unaided. The party were well equipped including with a triangular bandage that they had used to immobilise the arm. On arrival the team splinted the wrist and administered pain relief before assisting the casualty for a walk off back to the road from where his mates would take him to hospital for an x-ray.
