A paraglider pilot was flying on Wolf Crag above the Old Coach Road (near Thelkeld) but on landing badly fractured his ankle. A Keswick team member was at the scene and due to the nature of the fracture requested Helimed assistance. A Keswick team vehicle was dispatched but as the Patterdale MR team were finishing a job at nearby Aira Force it made sense for them to provide assistance, if required, to the Helimed crew.
