Out with family and friends on a Saturday hike our casualty “slipped on an acorn” on the lakeside path. The fall resulted in a significant leg injury with many team members in disbelief at the stoic resolve of the casualty. The team attended and reduced the fracture before splinting and evacuating the casualty from the lakeside for onward transport to hospital.
