River Derwent, Castle Crag (141)

A 78 year old woman slipped on the path next to the River Derwent below Castle Crag, causing her to fall and hit her head and injure her hip. Unable to walk her walking partner called for assistance. Being fairly close to the village of Grange the team were quickly on site. Pain relief was provided and the lady stretchered the short distance to a team vehicle to await an ambulance.
