Robinson (48)

Callout Date: 23/05/2025
Callout Time: 5:24 pm
Agencies Involved: Keswick MRT, Cockermouth MRT, Coastguard helicopter R199

A man descending Hindscarth on the way to Robinson heard a ‘pop’ in his left knee. Unable to weight bear his partner requested assistance. With Keswick team short on numbers and facing a long stretcher carry, support was requested from the Coastguard helicopter R199, and Cockermouth MRT. As Keswick were making their way up Robinson from Newlands Hause we were relieved to hear the incoming R199. Fortunately the helicopter was able to land close to the casualty and without needing MRT support airlifted the man and partner back to Newlands Hause. Cockermouth MRT helped transfer the casualty back to their vehicle from where they made their own way to hospital.

Many thanks again to Cockermouth and R199
