Cockermouth MRT requested support for a search for a missing paraglider pilot who had launched from the summit of Robinson. As Keswick team were assembling a paraglider canopy was spotted in a gill above Buttermere. Members from the Keswick, Cockermouth, & Wasdale converged on the location but tragically the pilot was declared dead at the scene. A complex recovery operation commenced to retrieve the man’s body.
