A walker was reported as missing when he did not return as expected to his campsite in Wasdale. A search was launched by Wasdale Mountain Rescue, with the help of the LDMR Search Dogs, of the Scafell range before a request to help extend the search area was made to Keswick Mountain Rescue. Two teams were dispatched from Keswick; the first searching Seathwaite Fell and descending via Taylor Gill Force, and the second over Allen Crags and Glaramara. The search was unfortunately unsuccessful and Keswick Mountain Rescue stood down the next day.
