A man had become separated from his party shortly after leaving the summit of Scafell Pike. In cloud and windy conditions they had not been able to locate him on the descent. Wasdale and Duddon teams searched overnight without success. The search resumed in the morning with other MR teams in support. Keswick team were tasked with searching the Grains Gill and Styhead Tarn areas and after 3 hours were stood down after the man was located near the summit of Scafell Pike. Sadly the man had not survived.
