The North West Ambulance Service received a call that a man had taken a long fall from Sharp Edge on Blencathra. Helimed 58 were able to confirm the exact casualty location and then air lifted a number of team members to the start of the ridge. Attempts to resuscitate the man commenced but despite best efforts the man could not be saved.
